Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive an automated appointment reminder by email and/or SMS. The email reminder will contain the telehealth meeting link.
You can log in to your patient portal and join the meeting from the Appointments Today widget.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychological intervention designed to help individuals recognize their own ways of thinking and feeling in the midst of stressful situations. CBTs come in many different forms (for instance, CBTs for trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain), but they all share common characteristics. Specifically, CBTs are practical treatments designed to help give you skills and tools to navigate your particular issue.
CBT is a broad classification of psychotherapy. There are many specialized forms of CBT that I have received training in, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP).
It may be that CBT is not the best choice of treatment for you and your current problems. We will work together to explore what approach is best for your situation.

At our first session, we will talk about your primary concerns (the reason you are seeking my services), your medical and mental health history, and your biographical history. The goal of our first session is to get a overview of your concerns and any contributing factors so that we can make a plan for your care. The first session of psychotherapy is often the most difficult because it involves talking about painful issues, but it is an important step in starting care and making progress towards your goals.

A “standard course” of psychotherapy is approximately 12-16 sessions. However, no two individuals are the same. You may not need 16 sessions of treatment, or you may want to meet for a longer period of time. At our initial appointment, we will talk about your goals for treatment and the expected duration of care needed to help you towards those goals.

I am licensed to provide care in Connecticut and New York, thus I ask that you are in either CT or NY for our scheduled sessions. Additionally, I ask that you are in a private and secure location for sake of your privacy and confidentiality. Clients typically connect for sessions from locales in Connecticut (Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Fairfield, New Haven) and New York (NYC, Port Chester, New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Scarsdale), but you are able to connect virtually to session from anywhere in New York state or Connecticut.
